We are located in the New Forest National Park and easily accessible and just a few minutes from the M27
Bumblebee cottage is a self-catering cottage with 2 bedrooms. Each with a comfortable king size bed,
crisp white linen, a television, and a modern ensuite bathroom. There is also a small kitchenette which includes a small fridge with a freezer compartment, a 2 burner ceramic hob, microwave, Tassimo coffee machine, tea kettle, toaster, and some pots, pans, and tools needed for cooking and serving breakfast or simple meals. In front of the kitchenette there is a bar style table and 2 bar stools.
A great base for a fantastic holiday within the New Forest National Park.
For guests staying on a longer-term basis we provide weekly cleaning.
Bed linen and towels are supplied.
On the estate there is a tennis court which is available to use.
There are 2 pubs within walking distance and several pubs and restaurants a short drive away.
There is a Spar convenience store a short drive away.
The New Forest National Park covers a large area and there is a lot to do and to explore. From free roaming ponies, forest walks, cute little villages with thatched roofs, beaches, museums, gardens, historic houses, cosy country pubs, amusement parks, and several golf courses… just to mention some of it. There really is something for everyone.

Our rates for Bumblebee Cottage start from £150 per night (mid-week).

Our booking calendar usually shows available dates for standard weekend (3 x nights – Friday to Monday) or mid-week stays (4 x nights – Monday to Friday), however if you require any alternative dates, then please contact us.

Bumblebee cottage is designed for a maximum of 4 people
Due to the layout of Bumblebee Cottage, sadly we can’t allow pets here, but you are welcome to bring pets if you are staying at Rose Cottage
Bumblebee Cottage is a smaller cottage, designed for shorter stays and unfortunately doesn’t have laundry facilities.
Again, due to the layout of Bumblebee Cottage, the cooking facilities are a little more limited to those in Rose Cottage and has a hob and micro-wave (with grill) and also an under-worktop size fridge
We have plenty onsite parking at Cadnam Lodge
We don’t have a designated charging point, however owners are allowed to bring their own charger to plug in over night and we make a nominal charge of £20 per charge to cover our electricity costs
The gardens and lake are here for your enjoyment, if you have a dog, then we would ask that the dog is kept on a lead as we have a lot of wildlife around the grounds and on the lake.
Yes of course, the tennis courts are available for your use and included in your stay.
Your are more than welcome to have guests visit you whilst you are staying during the day.
Due to insurance we are only permitted to have the named guests stay over night.
Rose Cottage is designed for 2 people and has one king size bed.
Bumblebee is designed for up to 4 people and has 2 x king size beds.
Due to fire safety and insurance, only people named on the booking are permitted to stay over-night.
Due to having a lake in the grounds and bordering a river, regrettably, we do not allow children under 13.
Guests are allowed to bring one well behaved dog to stay with them in our larger Rose cottage, provided they are kept on a lead within the grounds of the estate due to the animals on the grounds.
However due to the layout of Bumblebee Cottage, unfortunately, we can’t allow pets in this Cottage.
During the holiday season, bookings tend to be back to back, therefore we do have to allow sufficient time between check-out and check-in times for professional cleaning.
Check-in is from 4pm – 7pm – we appreciate with traffic, this may not always be possible, but please contact us if it is going to be outside of these times so we can ensure we are available
Check-out is 10am
Parties – We are very sorry, but we do not allow parties as we have to respect other guests staying.
Additional Guests – We fully appreciate that you may have friends or relations living locally and they may want to visit during the day throughout your stay and this is of course fine, we just ask that they also follow the house rules.
The Cottages are professionally cleaned prior to each stay and for guests staying for 7 nights or more, we offer weekly cleaning
